Here at Legnd, we create blogs for businesses and individuals who need help with graphic design, website layout, SEO, content marketing, and more! While we enjoy discussing ways to make your social media page more engaging and explaining why improving on-site SEO is important for a Google ranking, our team wanted to take the time to highlight one of our employees every month and have them talk about themselves and their experience here at Legnd!
Our “Employee Spotlight” series will give an introduction to each of our amazing employees in development, SEO, copywriting, graphic design, project management, and sales! Through this series, we want you to know us as a team and how all of our unique employees make working for Legnd a truly special experience.
This month, we want you to meet Alyssa Arceneaux. Alyssa has worked for Legnd for almost two years and is currently based out of Saint Petersburg, Florida. She is our project manager and graphic designer. Alyssa works closely with our customers to create unique, elaborate designs and custom website templates.
Let’s learn more about her!
What drew you to Legnd originally, and how has it changed since?
It all started on LinkedIn. When I noticed an awesome company in my hometown was hiring, I was interested. What drew me in initially was that I would be able to stay close to family with this job. Since I started my career with Legnd, I’ve moved to Saint Petersburg, Florida, and I’m still able to work with my amazing team. So moral of the story: what drew me to Legnd is not what has kept me; it's been the awesome people that I now call my work fam.
What is your favorite part about working for Legnd?
My favorite part about working for Legnd is that everyone always has your back. When something goes wrong, or you mess up (because lets face it, we are human), a team member is always there to pick you up or lend a hand. “Alexa, play ‘We Are Family’ by Sister Sledge.”
How do you balance your career at Legnd and your family life?
It's easy! At Legnd, the family is important. We set realistic goals each week to keep us from getting overwhelmed. This is important because oftentimes work stress affects family relationships.
Which one would you want most – flying cars, robot housekeepers, or moon cities?
Flying cars. I would love to travel without having to buy a plane ticket!
Do you have an office nickname? If so, what is it?
Well, not on purpose. I accidentally told Rob that my little brother used to call me “Sissa” when we were little, and now he has the whole office calling me “Sissa.” ?
What is an ability you wish you had?
I wish I had the ability to code. Lately, I have been more interested in learning to code and being able to completely customize templated sites.
What is your favorite thing to do?
Anything outside in the sun!
What is the first concert you attended?
NSYNC when I was around the age of nine. It was amazing; I even got a signed poster!
